What the Chutney?!

Do you know what a Chutney is?  If you do…well good for you.  I did not.  So I googled it.  In case you are with me, here’s the dictionary.com definition.

–noun, plural chut·neys.

a sauce or relish of East Indian origin, often compounded of both sweet and sour ingredients, as fruits and herbs, with spices and other seasoning.

This chutney included…

Roasted cashews, red pepper, garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, curry powder.

Grind away and enjoy the delightful smell.

Grind some more.

Grind until it comes together into nice sticky clumps.

Get your chickpeas and dried apricots ready.

Combine everything with the juice of half a lime.

Enjoy as a main dish or a side dish, with a dollop of plain Greek yogurt.

  2. I could probably do a whole post on the jars, labels, and storage of my spices! I like to use them to decorate!

  3. You should!!!

Remember our containers that said the wrong thing? They were like, biscuits, tea and something else. But really it was sugar and flour. lol
